The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) has appointed Dr Dan Hart, Senior Lecturer in Haematology at Barts and The London School of Medicine & Dentistry, QMUL and Honorary Consultant Haematologist at The Royal London Hospital, Barts Health NHS Trust, as the National Specialty Lead for Haematology for the NIHR Clinical Research Network (CRN).
Dr Hart will take up the role from 1st April, taking over from Professor Cheng-Hock Toh who steps down at the end of March. Dr Hart will chair the NIHR CRN Haematology Specialty Group which Professor Toh has led since 2015. We congratulate Dr Hart on his appointment and thank Professor Toh for his leadership during his tenure in the role, and for establishing such strong links between the NIHR CRN and BSH.
