Applications for the Cohort Study grant have now closed. The programme will not reopen until after the pilot of the first grant has been completed and evaluated by the Board which will be 2024.

This pilot programme supports the development of UK-based cohort studies of well-defined rare patient populations generating valuable datasets relating to patient phenotypes, outcome data and research data such as genetic data.

The ideal cohort study would provide a framework for several rare disease entities in multiple sites, or other areas where funding is limited.
